По тексту мы понимаем, что речь идет о соседке (neighbour), которая помогала матери рассказчика, была ему няней (nurse). То есть оба варианта подходят. Наверное, я все же ответил бы B) nurse, так как в тексте главное не то, что это была соседка, а то, что она присматривала за автором в детстве
