Nikola Tesla (1856-1943) is an outstanding inventor, physicist, engineer of Serbian descent, author of over a hundred inventions, many of which radically changed the life of mankind. He was most famous for creating devices operating on alternating current, and also consistently upholding the idea of the existence of ether. The inventor has a unit for measuring the density of magnetic induction. Nikola Tesla was born in the Croatian village of Smilyan (then Austria-Hungary) on July 10, 1856. His parents Milutin and Georgina were far from science - the father served as a priest, and the mother, by today's standards, was a housewife. His early childhood boy spent in a small homeland, there he graduated from the first grade of primary school.
Then the father was given a new order and a large family with five children moved to the town of Gospic. By that time, the elder brother of Nikola Dane was killed. In Gospic, the future physicist received further education, completing his first training in three classes of primary school, and in 1870 received a certificate of a real gymnasium.
