It provides the readerwith some information on the history of development of the curtain walls in thearchitecture and the materials they are made of nowadays.  The articlebegins with the description of the first example of curtain walling. Firstly,it states the origin of the curtain walls, and then it describes the Fagusfactory in Germany and the chemical factory in England. After this it statesthat though at first usage of the curtain walls was not much popular, latelythey became one of the marked characteristics of the modern architecture. Inthe end of the article materials commonly used for construction of the curtainwalling (materials used for the grid of the frame and materials used to makethe panels between the glass) in modern architecture are listed. The mainidea of the article is that curtain wall is one of the marked characteristicsof the modern architecture. I do agree with the author. 
I found the article interesting, because I learned a lotabout the history and composition of the curtain walls.
