Action Point Clothing in south London has the
answer. They
old clothes for
years. They
over 200 new items of
clothing by transforming old clothes into modern
ones. What's more, they
half of their
profits to train young people to design clothes.
So how does it work? 'We started off with a fashion
design competition for young people and then used
the winning designs on the clothes we received to
make them fashionable again,' says company CEO
Laura Bauer. 'Since then, there
no
shortage of new designs. The people at our school
us new designs every week!'.
