The Wolf and The Goat. Part 1

Once upon a time there was a wolf who owned some land. There was a goat who wanted to plant some crops. The goat asked the wolf for some land to rent for three planting seasons. The wolf agreed, but told the goat that whatever grew on the top in the first year would be his and whatever grew below the ground would belong to the goat. The goat agreed and the first year he planted carrots, watered them and cared for the garden. Two months later, the wolf came to the garden. As agreed, the goat gave the leaves which were above the ground to the wolf and took the carrots himself. The next day when the goat was going to the market he met the wolf.
Wolf: Where are you going Goat?
Goat: To the market to sell the roots.
Wolf: They look good. Can I try them?
Goat: Yes.
The wolf munched a carrot and said, “Mm, this root is so tasty! You lied to me. During the next harvest, everything below the ground is mine!”
