The person who I admire the most is Yuri Gagarin. He was born on the 9thMarch 1934, in Klushino Village, Smolensk Region. He is famous as the first manin the space.

Yuri Gagarin was born in peasant family. His father was a woodworker andhis mother worked at the milk plant. In 1941 he went to school and the Great PatrioticWar began. He had to break his studying off. In 1951 Yuri Gagarin entered theSaratov Industrial College. Three years later he came to Saratov Aeroclub. In1955 Gagarin achieved success, graduated from the college with honors and hetook a flight on the plane for the first time in his life.

After his graduation, Gagarin called up for the army. He was one oftwenty candidates to fly into the space. Gagarin became one of three leaders inthe first detachment. On the 12th April 1961 Yuri Gagarin became thefirst man who flew into the space by a launch vehicle called “Vostok-1”.

The reason I admire him because he is really courageous and brave.
