Thank you for your postcard telling me about your exciting holiday on the island. Did you find the person that lost the necklace in the cave?
Grandpa and I went on holiday last weekend. We stayed in a small village near a beach for two nights. But we didn’t explore the beach because the weather was terrible. We went for a short walk on Saturday morning and the rain soaked our clothes very quickly. In the afternoon, there was a bad storm. It rained very heavily and the thunder and lightning were quite frightening! The waves on the beach were really high, too. On Sunday, we went to a tiny bookshop in the village and I bought a book for you and Anna. It’s a book about three sailors. They found some treasure on a little island — just like you and Anna! I’m going to come to your house next Friday. I can give you the book then. Love from
