Drug Addiction
Drugs are a group of strong painkillers, which have an effect upon nervous system. Drug addiction is a disease. It develops very quickly. It develops because the person, who once experienced euphoria, wants to use drug again. More than that, every new dose must be larger and larger to feel euphoria. The drug addict is ready to steal, to lie or even to kill someone in order to have a dose.
Drug addiction is the consolation for those who do not have enough physical and moral strength to survive in the struggle for theirs own place in life, for those who are not strong enough to say “no” in the crucial point.
Drug addiction irreversibly damages health. It is hard to find a drug addict, who is at least 30 years old. Even if the person is absolutely healthy when he first tries drugs in teenage, he very quickly becomes a drug addict. His physical and spiritual powers are soon exhausted, so he has no chances to celebrate his thirtieth birthday.
What are the ways to struggle against drugs? State authorities must focus their attention on this problem, because the problem of drug addiction is closely related to criminality, prostitution and AIDS. It is useless to struggle against drugs; it is more rational and effective to struggle against those who produce drugs.
First of all everyone should remember that drugs are a pleasure for which you will have to pay a high price – your life.
