Every year we make a tour around Kazakhstan. Last year we went to Almaty. We found fantastic nature and stunning mountain landscapes in the "Shymbulak" ski resort, the "Medeo" mountain skating rink and the Kok-Tobe, which are ideal places to relax. I think there is nothing better than taking a cable car ride to enjoy the astonishing high mountains. When you travel around Almaty I recommend you rent a car, it is the best option to explore the mystifying huge Charyn Canyon. I think if you see the Charyn Canyon, you will never forget the amazing Kazakhstani ‘Grand Canyon’.

Our next destination was the Tamgaly gorge, a unique Kazakhstan monument of rock art, located 170 kilometers from Almaty in the Anrakay mountains. The Tamgaly petroglyphs are one of the oldest and striking monuments of rock art. We saw amazing rock drawings of sun gods, warriors, ancient people and their hunting scenes. We were astonished by the scenes from the life of ancient people. If you go there, you will not be bored.

Have you ever heard about the Altai Apls? If you haven’t, plan your tour to the Altai Alps ski resort located not far from Oskemen. We found accommodation in a small village. There we stayed in a comfortable small wooden house of six. Everybody was astonished by the stunning mountain landscape. We had an amazing time in the Altai Alps ski resort. Everything was fantastic.
