It is quite common for young (1) people/peoples, especially students, to share a flat. However, just like any other relationship, this is not problem-free. Here are three things that may cause tension between flatmates and (2) some / an advice on how to deal with it. First, we seem to forget that everyone has annoying habits. Whether it's putting too (3) many /much milk in the tea or retelling the same stories a thousand (4) time/ times, we're all guilty of something. What flatmates need to do is set some (5) time / times aside and try to come to an understanding. Another cause of tension between flatmates is housework. They need to divide the (6) work /works they do around the house fairly and equally. If, for example, you have never used (7) an /-iron before, you can perhaps ask your flatmates to help you out with the ironing, as long as you agree to do something else around the house. Finally, friends not living in the flat can also come between flatmates. Some tend to be too critical. Perhaps you can learn to simply ignore (8) a few / a little comments about your flatmates, but you should make it clear to everyone that you are the one sharing the flat not them. There will always be problems in every relationship. The good news (9) are / is that differences can be overcome with (10) a/-good communication
