Ответ:In my view,pride is a root of other sins.There's a big difference between confidence and pride.Confidence is self-respect,but pride is self-elevation and humiliation of others.I think the origin of this saying is from the Bible,when Lucifer thought that he is much better than God and he began to tempt other angels in order to become a God,but he was thrown from the heaven,along with his angels.
