Snow leopard

The snow leopard is a very beautiful and strong animal. It looks like a small tiger, only its fur is not striped, but spotted. Black spots look very nice on a silvery white background. The snow leopard is not a very big animal.

The snow leopard can be found in Kazakhstan, Altai and Sayan Mountains, as well as in the mountains of Mongolia, China, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The snow leopard is a real mountain animal. It lives in rocky areas, among very steep mountain slopes, next to glaciers. Snow leopards love these places because they can hunt mountain goats in these areas.

The number of snow leopards around the world is very small. People at all times loved to hunt snow leopards. And over the past twenty years, the number of snow leopards has decreased a lot. This is because people are using mountain valleys for farming and domestic animals. Because of this, the mountain goats have less food, and their population has sharply decreased. As a result, a lot of snow leopards died of hunger. Now natural reserves are created all over the world to save these wonderful animals.
