Ali: I’m so pleased you 0 can / have to come to my
house tonight, Ben.
Ben: Yes, but I 1 can’t / don’t have to stay too late. My
parents say that I 2 can / have to be back home
by 9.30.
Ali: That’s OK. It gives us lots of time to play games
or watch TV. My parents aren’t very strict. They
say I 3 mustn’t / don’t have to take food to my
bedroom, but I 4 can’t / don’t have to tell them
what programme I’m watching or which game
I’m playing. You 5 can / have to choose what to
play if you like.
Ben: Thanks. My dad says he
6 has to / doesn’t have to check all of my games
and tells me to stop playing after 20 minutes –
it’s really boring!
Ali: And 7 do you have to / can you show him all your
films too?
Ben: Of course! But I have some others that I don’t
tell him about! You 8 don’t have to / mustn’t tell
him, though.
Ali: Of course not!
