One of the most tragic events of the twentieth century - World War II. She left a deep imprint on the minds of millions of people who live on different continents and speak a different language, and the scale of the tragedy is not unprecedented in the history of the world.
The war - this time, courage and bravery on the front and rear of the enemy. It is known that during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, our people have displayed extraordinary tenacity and fortitude to defend their homeland from invaders.
My parents and I were born and raised in peacetime, but the sufferings and sorrows that brought this terrible war, I know not only from history, literature and movies. A lot of these events can be found by listening to the stories of veterans and home front workers.
My grandfather was a participant of the Great Patriotic War, we cherish his military awards, newspaper clippings and wartime frontline army book.
But not only the combatants have experienced fear and pain, but also those who were in the rear of the enemy.
One winter evening, my grandmother told me about the hard time that she had to endure. When she was seventeen years old, she dreamed of becoming a doctor and therefore admitted to the medical college. But the Great Patriotic War. In 1941, the fascists came close to the town of Yelets, and all the people came to the defense of their native land. Classes at the college ceased, and my grandmother, along with other citizens helped dig trenches, worked in the fields. But despite the efforts of the Soviet troops and residents, the enemy broke through the defense and broke into Elec, some Nazis settled in an apartment where the family lived my grandmother, and they, along with other neighbors had to move to an old barn.
Fear not leave them, day or night. They were afraid to go outside because there there were German soldiers with guns in their hands. But one morning in December the Germans were hastily assembled and went out of occupied apartments. And all the inhabitants of the barn realized that the Germans are retreating, it is hoped that the war would soon be over.
In the meantime, the city fired day and night, and all the people were still scared. The next day, in the morning, someone knocked on the window, they were our soldiers. Everyone was very happy, fed them, watered, and they went on to clean the homeland from the Nazis. On the streets of the city lay dead everywhere: both military and civilians. The war has brought so much grief!
War - is a terrible ordeal for any country, any nation and every man. She brings a lot of pain and suffering for both adults and children. And all who saw the war with his own eyes, never forget about it.
Will always live in the memory of the immortal feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. In their honor, in all the towns and villages set monuments - obelisks, in honor of those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our Motherland. Our city is also a monument to the soldiers - elchane who died in battle against the Nazi invaders during World War II. Nobody is forgotten, nothing is forgotten!
