Thanksgiving Day initially was a holiday of expression of gratitude and appreciation to God, and is equal to a family and friends for material well-being and the kind relation. In traditional sense (inherent in agricultural cultures since the most ancient times), such holiday on an outcome of fall meant gratitude to heavens for a rich crop and for abundance of fruits. Since then in the USA and Canada this holiday substantially lost the religious roots and became civil, standard and public.
