Dear Student's Council,
The purpose of this report is to express my concerns for the harmful effects of junk food on the health of our students. I have recently noticed that the number of students eating unhealthy food during the breaks at our school has been increasing. The junk food consumption as a trend, is increasing in all parts of the world.
Unhealthy dietary habits are leading to many non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, It is also causing major health issues among the children and adolescents in the world. The prevalence of obesity keeps growing amongst the teenagers, due to the lack of activity, unhealthy diet and excess of calories. However, there are several solutions for this problem.
Further,I would like to contribute into the launch of the campaign "Teenagers for Healthy Food" by making a comprehensive approach.
First, we need to address this issue to our school, by educating the students of the dangers of eating junk food and leading an unhealthy diet.
This approach aims to support the health and well-being of all students. It does not single out students according to their weight status or body size.
Overweight and obesity are sensitive issues for students and families and they must be addressed with compassion and understanding.
School-based programs should be ought to promote physical activity and improved diet quality. We need to provide parents with information on healthy food choices and active living.
How can you change your eating habits?
To eat a healthy diet, you may need to make some changes. Remember that you can change your eating habits a little bit at a time. Small changes are easier to make and can lead to major health benefits.
Here are some ways to make healthy changes in your eating habits. Focus on adding healthy food to your diet, rather than just taking unhealthy foods away. Try to eat a family meal every day at the kitchen or dining table. This will help you focus on eating healthy.
Buy a healthy-recipe book, and try to cook for yourself, or with the help of your parents, this will lead to a good start.
From the above report, disordered eating habits have proved to be a major cause of various diseases across the world, the students of our school have been partaking in unhealthy food eating habits, lifestyle, and excess of junk food.
Targeting students who are willing to change their diet, giving them specific information on how to prepare healthy foods will help solve the problem of cost and convenience by improving the dieting behavior of our students.
