My favourite town is Ayios Nikolaos. It is a town
on an island called Crete in Greece. I stayed
there last year for my holiday.

Nikolaos is very pretty. I went there in spring
and it was green with beautiful red poppies.
There are also rocky hills with lots of olive trees,
orange trees and lemon trees. The smell of the
lemon trees was wonderful.
Ayios Nikolaos is busy and lively. Some streets
are narrow and there aren't many cars on
them. There are some beautiful old houses and
lots of interesting shops for tourists. We bought
olive oil. The island is famous for it.
There are lots of things to do in Ayios Nikolaos,
You can take rides in boats and there are
open-air cinemas. My parents loved the fish
restaurants around the lake. I ate grilled
octopus and pizzal
