As an aircraft captain I have been trained to deal with all kinds of in-flight emergencies. When one of the flight attendants reported that there was trouble on board, I had to respond swiftly and decisively. There were fourteen foreign seamen on board the aircraft who had at least one parrot in a bag. I immediately ordered the bird to be taken from them. Then they threatened to release a snake if the parrot wasn’t handed back to them. I radioed the ground control to notify them about the situation. A special team was waiting at the airport to search the plane for the poisonous snake. As it turned out the seamen had been bluffing and there was no snake on board.
