Shokan Ualikhanov (1835-1865)
Shokan Ualikhanov was a great Kazakh scientist-orientalist.He was born in a small village near Kostanai.His father was a great sultan.
He was a curious and kind boy.He started to study very early.He was fond of reading books and listening to the Granny's stories.At the age of 12 Shokan became a student of the Omsk Kadet College.He didn't know Russian at all but after 2 years of studying he became one of the best students of the College.
At the age of 22 Shokan became a member of the Russian Geographical Society.He was famous for his descriptions of the traditions and history of oriental people and geographical discoveries.In 1865 Shokan Ualikhanov died.He was only 30.

Чокан Валиханов был великим казахским ученым-востоковедом. Он родился в маленькой деревне около Костаная. Его отец был великим султаном. Он был любопытным и добрым мальчиком. Он начал учиться очень рано. Он любил читать книги и слушать бабушкины истории. В возрасте 12 лет Чокан стал студентом Омского кадетского корпуса. Он вообще не знал русский, но спустя 2 года обучения он стал одним из лучших студентов корпуса.
В 22 года Чокан стал членом Российского географического общества. Он был известен благодаря описаниям традиций и истории восточных народов и географических открытий. В 1865 году Чокан Валиханов умер. Ему было всего 30 лет.
