There are three main federal TV channels in Russia. They are — the 1st Channel (Perviy), Russia One (Telekanal Rossiya) and NTV. In recent years, four other channels were included in the list of the federal channels that are available throughout Russia. These are TNT, STS, REN TV and TVC. The most popular TV channel is the 1st Channel (Perviy) with 21,2 per cent of the audience share. Then comes Russia One (Telekanal Rossiya) which is watched by 20,7 per cent of the population. NTV is listed third and STS is fourth. Then comes TNT channel (Pyaty Kanal) with 10,3 per cent. The TV audience of REN TV Channel is 6 per cent. TVC has 4.3 per cent and takes seventh place.
