First of all I`d like to say that there are various forms ofmass media: television, radio, newspapers and the internet. It is no doubt thatmass media plays a very important role in the world. It is the best way toreceive information. Thanks to the Internet people can study foreign languagesand travel round the world without wasting money. Both the young and the adultsfind new friends and have a chat with them. For disabled children the differentforms of mass media are the best opportunity for study at home. 

However, there is the reverse side ofthe medal. The majority of young people spend a lot of time in front of the TVor computer. They have no time for sport activities in the fresh air. Childrenprefer to watch a film than to read a book, so many of them damage their eyesand have problem with overweight. The internet limit a face-to-face contact. Peopleare paying less attention to the persons around them and become more nervous.People become attached to the TV and Internet.

I think that mass media is a keyachievement of people, but we should not forget the joy of real-worldcommunication.
