Our grandparents’ free time was often a bit different! In the past,

many young people (1) kept____ stamps in an album, or

(2)_built___ model aeroplanes. They (3)_read_____ books or

(4) drew____pictures, and sometimes (5)wrote______ letters to

their pen friends. Perhaps they (6)_spent_____ their time making

things, such as clothes. Of course, some teenagers today still do

these things, but they are not as popular as they (7)_were___.  

Not everything was different, though, lust like today,

teenagers in the past (8)_met_____ their friends and

(9) ate______ lunch together while they (10)_talked___ about

their lives, their hopes and their dreams. And as they (11)got _ older, they (12) found____ they had less free

time to enjoy. Perhaps some things stay the same!
