Lizards are very common animals. They are found on all continents of our planet, except for Antarctica. Many of you may have even seen lizards in nature. They feed on insects and reproduce by laying eggs. Outwardly, these creatures very much resemble snakes, but only with paws: their body is elongated and covered with scales. Likewise, many species of lizards shed their tails when they sense danger. Some people keep lizards as pets.
