Hello Tom! How are you? I'm fine. And I'm writting you this letter, because I would like to tell you about my favourite TV programme. It is called "Fear factor". This is an American sports stunt reality show. The host is Joe Rogan. In the beginning of each programme Joe says: "The stunts you are about to see were all designed and supervised bytrained professionals. They are extremely dangerous and should not beattempted by anyone, anywhere, anytime". And this is true!! The normal format involves three men and three women, who have to complete threeprofessional stunts to win US $ 50,000.If a contestant is too scared to attempt a stunt, failed tocomplete a stunt, or had the worst performance on astunt, he\she is eliminated from the competition. The first stunt is designed to physically test each of the contestants (for example, jumping from one building to the next). Usually, the two men and the two women that gave the bestperformance (such as the fastest time, farthest distance) will move on to the secondstunt. The others are eliminated. The second stunt is meant to mentally challenge the contestants. The most common type of stunts in the second round iseating animal parts or live bugs, spiders or worms. Contestantsare usually not eliminated after this stunt unless they did not completeit. The third and final stunt is usually something from an extreme type of stunt seen in an action film.Like the first stunt, it usually involves heights, water, vehicles, orsome combination of the three. The player with the best performance wins the grand prize, usually $ 50,000, and had the privilege of being informed by Joe Rogan that "evidently, fear is not a factor for you". Each Fear Factor programme is very intetesting. As for me, I think I could complete some of the stunts. Unfortunatelly, one has to live in the USA to take part in the programme. And do you have any favourite TV programmes? Who is the host? Would you like to take part in the programme? Write back soon. Bye! Yours, jane.
