This spring in May me and my friend Helen visited Madrid. It was our first travelling abroad. I can say that we were stepping our own terra incognita. We were very lucky to meet the great guide Yury Belousov. He gave us the walking excursion along the old Madrid. Next day we had unforgettable excursion to Toledo which is the real heart and soul of Spain. The time passed very fast because we were engaged with interesting stories and conversation. It appeared that Yury is not just an experienced guide but charming, intelligent and heartful person as well. It’s important to mention that Yury was very attentive and thoughtful to us. He kept his eyes on us and reminded us to be careful with money and watch our stuff. There is no doubt, Madrid is full of amazing guides but I’m sure, we got lucky to have Yury. He brought us to very special places where not every person is allowed to step. We visited the cellar where the great Goya washed bottles, had an opportunity to visit the oldest restaurant in the world (it’s in Guinness Book of Records). We also dropped in the café “La Torre del Oro” where Sergei Lavrov is a habitué, and had a bottle of wine in a cosy restaurant in Toledo whose owner personally greets his guests and serves the tables. Our excursions were accompanied with interesting historical references and humorous comments. Thanks to Yury Belousov we had a great deal of fascinating emotions and feelings and we’ll keep them for many years. He is a true pro and knows his profession from A to Z. Spain, wait for us soon! We are going to be back in a short time and we’ll have our guide again. He who is a perfect valet de place to the world of Spanish culture! Thank you Yury! Muchas gracias!
