X-Men
Have you seen the X-Men tilms? They're based on a series
of stories. The original stories were written in the 1960s
and appeared in Manel comic books. Comic books with
superhero characters like the X-Men were very popular
in those days - and now, because of the films, they are
fashionable again
The films are based on stories by David Hayter and the
director, Bryan Singer
. They were filmed in Canada
The story is set in the future. The main characters are
mutants. They are o Herent from normal people and
they all have special powers. Most of the mutants
are good and ust want to survive - but some of
them want to kill all the normal people
There are lots of weird and wonderful characters
and some tantastic special effects. Wolverine,
the main character is played by the Australian
actor Hugh Jackman. He is dressed in a black
uniform and on his hands he has long claws
- they can be dangerous in X-Men 2
Wolverine is joined by a teenage girl called
Roque (she's played by Anna Paquin)
Rogue has a terrible problem and
its deadly - when she touches
people she takes their strength
She doesn't go near people
because she doesnt want to
kill them and she has to wear
lots of clothes and gloves all
the time The part of the bad
character Magneto. is played
by a very famous British
actor, lan Nickellan (he
plays Gandalf in The Lord
of the Rings). Halle Berry
stars as Storm in X-Men 2
