nivinna 1. The dress is fashionable, but it seems to be ridiculous on that girl. To my mind, it's too extravagant for her!
2. When the brown colour came into fashion, my mom was astonished greatly. She thought it to be awful, as she had to wear a school uniform of this "practical" colour. 
3. Hippies' casual clothes were very colourful. They preferred to wear  flared jeans. It can be said that  hippies made them fashionable as well as their ideas about love and peace.
