My mum was had born in 1966, in London. Four years later, she started/left primary school and when she was 18, she started/left school. She wanted to train/learn to be a teacher, so she went to university. At university she met my dad, and they "got/started married in 1996. My mum was/had two children, me and my brother. Last year, she was/got a very good job in a school and my parents are going to buy/start a bigger house.
