Текст до цих завдань . This month, Julie talks to us...

was eighteen when I became a hairdresser. 1 trained in New York and I worked at a Then I got married and we moved to England because my husband is from here. When I was twenty-six, I opened a salon in London, but after a few years I got bored. I wanted to do something different. Then, one night I went to see an opera for the first time. It was an amazing experience! And the singers had such beautiful costumes and wigs. I thought: 'I can style hair, so I can learn to make wigs!' And I did! Now I design wigs for singers and I also do their make-up.

Next month I'm going to work on an Opera in German, Der Rosenkavalier. It usually takes about two weeks to prepare the wigs for an opera, but this project is going to take longer. The opera happens in eighteenth-century Austria. First I must learn about the clothes people wore in Austria in the eighteenth century. Then I'll have a meeting with the costume designer. Together we'll decide the colours and styles for the costumes and wigs. Finally, I'll make the wigs. It's hard work, but I love it!'
