Aleks946 New Year in Russia is loved and celebrated with pleasure and joy. This holiday is overgrown with traditions that have developed over many years. Over time, modern customs and practices, characteristic of our country, appeared. Traditions are important for every people, because they are the connection of new generations with ancestors, reveal the essence of the nation, its nature. But the Russian people learned to beautifully decorate the Christmas tree from the French. They hung biscuits, apples, bright flowers of multicolored paper on the branches of a tree. This tradition quickly spread across Germany and throughout Europe.
It's been up to the present day to give presents to each other in the New Year. Only in ancient times these days the young men chose a bride and tried to coax her with all sorts of gifts.
