Currently, the issue of political, economic, trade and even military integration has become a sharp issue on the Eurasia continent. Many people support the alliance as it arises the boundaries and they get the opportunity to improve their financial statuses. However, from another position, due to becoming a part of any continental organization like the EU or the Russian Federation, a country can lose its national identity. For this purpose, we must see what makes a state unique and sovereign.
Firstly, those are the symbols of the country which remain being attributed to it and no one can take it away. The other issue is with language, traditions, customs, religions - the things people proud of and cherish for centuries. The territory of the country which integrates also remains belonging to it. No one has a right to cut a part of the lands in any case. Using the sample of the UK, one can say that the people of the country did not lose their identity after joining with the EU. They maintained their love for the crown - which is the most outstanding symbol of the British people. They still speak their language and have their symbols and traditions. Thus, the country cannot lose its identity if people respect and cherish all its aspects.
