I just recently watched a movie called "Cheburashka". It was directed by Dimitri Dyachenko, who has quite a long history of making films and series that become crowd favourite. Some of the stars that starred in Cheburashka are Sergei Garmash, Polina Maximova, and Fyodor Dobronravov, who you might know from the "Svaty" series. The whole movie is a take on the all-known character from a Soviet cartoon - Cheburashka, but it develops the story in a slightly different direction. For example, Gena is not a crocodile anymore, but an old man who finds Cheburashka in the garden and adopts him, and the viewers find out that Cheburashka is originally from Spain - hence his love for oranges - the list goes on. As for me, I really loved the movie for its fairytale-like warmth and creative plot.
