ART and DESIGN Pre-U
This term the Year 12 students have been working through a foundation set of skills in order to make the transition from GCSE to A level Art. We have focused upon honing their research skills and refining their observational drawing skills across a range of media. As Liliya did not do GCSE Art she has had a steeper learning curve but she has coped well and is making progress. She has developed her drawing skills, exploring charcoal, pastel and paint, whilst deepening her understanding of how to scale up and build up an image in layers. Liliya is still learning how to select high quality research imagery from which she can create visual responses, using them to inspire her ideas and start to take her project on a visual journey. She is about to begin her induction with digital photography which I hope will speed her up as she does work slowly. Working with photography and Photoshop will enable her to create a strong chapter of work and should generate greater pace and momentum.

Она готова начать свою работу с цифровой фотографии которая, я надеюсь, ускорит ее прогресс, так как она выполняет свою работу медленно. Работа с фотографией и Фотошопом позволит ей создать мощную главу своего творчества и задаст темп ее развития, как художника.
