B orsch is one of the most common first Ukrainian dishes. It consists of many different foodstuffs.My mother often cooks borsch and I love to watch and help her.Before cooking mom washes her hands and puts on her pinafore.At first she cooks soup. Finely diced bonesshe boils for two hours, add meat and continue to cook until it`s done. Cooked meat she cuts for portions and taps soup. Peeled and washed beets mother shinkuem strips, salts, sprinkls with vinegar, mixes, put in a pan, add oil, tomato sauce, sugar and simmer until it`s ready. Then slightly fry in salo- onion, carrot, parsley. The kitchen already smells so delicious, even salivating flow.In the pat soupshe puts chopped potatoes, bring to a boil, adds the sliced cabbage strips and brews for 10-15 minutes. Then throws into the soup stewed beets, slightly roasts with onions chopped fresh tomatoes, bitter and aromatic pepper, bay leaves, roasted diluted with water and flour. Then it boils for 10 minutes.Finally borsch is ready. Comes dinner. Feeding the soup on the table, my mother in every plate put a piece of cooked meat and cream What a delicious borsch!
