I recently read the book "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. I would classify it as a coming-of-age novel. I think the author's purpose was to explore the struggles of growing up and the difficulty of finding one's place in the world. Something I liked about it was the way the protagonist, Holden Caulfield, was able to express his thoughts and feelings in a way that was both relatable and humorous.
Card 2:
Something I disliked about the book was the lack of resolution at the end. The setting of the book is mostly in New York City, with some scenes taking place in Pennsylvania. My favorite character was Holden, because he was so honest and open about his feelings. My least favorite character was probably his sister Phoebe, because she was too idealistic and naive.

One of the main characters of the book is Holden Caulfield. He goes through a lot of changes throughout the book, from being a rebellious teenager to a more mature and understanding young adult.
